BRIDGEWATER, MASS. – Will Schimek, Dylan Contreras, Tanner Edwards and Ryan Johnson each scored goals for Alaska Anchorage in a 4-1 win at Stonehill Wednesday.
Will Schimek fired a wrist shot from the slot to tally his first collegiate goal at 8:08 of the first period. Conor Cole recorded his sixth assist of the season and Max Helgeson notched his third on the goal.
Dylan Contreras scored an unassisted break-away goal at 12:38 of the second period.
Tanner Edwards scored the lone goal of the second period with a low wrist shot at 12:20 with assists by Matt Johnson and Alex Gomez.
Joel Lehtinen spoiled the shutout for UAA goalie Greg Orosz by scoring his first goal of the season at 3:22 of the third period. Orosz finished with 26 saves on 27 shots.
Dimitry Kebreau recorded his team-leading ninth assist of the season on an empty-net goal by Ryan Johnson at 17:46 of the third.
Stonehill out-shot Alaska Anchorage 27-25 and the teams were a combined 0-for-7 on the powerplay.
Alaska Anchorage will play a two-game series at Merrimack Friday and Saturday.
