ANCHORAGE, ALASKA – University of Alaska head hockey coach Matt Shasby announced that Judah Makway has signed a scholarship agreement with the program.
Makway, a 6-3 center, has played for his hometown team the Trail Smoke Eaters of the BCHL since 2002. He has appeared in 115 games for the Smoke Eaters scoring 19 goals and 28 assists for 47 points. The 2024-25 season has been the most productive for Makway in the Orange and Black as he has recorded 24 points (11 goals, 13 assists) in 28 games, tied for most on the team. Makway, who is serving as team captain, has five multi-point games this season, including a four-assist game against the Blackfalds Bulldogs on Dec. 6 and a three-point (two goals, one assist) game against the Blackfalds Bulldogs on Dec. 14.
Alaska Anchorage will play at Dartmouth on Dec. 28th.
