HANOVER, N.H. – Cam Lund scored in overtime to give Northeastern a 4-3 win over Alaska Anchorage at the Ledyard Classic hosted by Dartmouth Sunday.
The Seawolves scored first for the second straight game when Dylan Finlay lit the lamp with a low-angle shot at 16:43 of the first period for his second goal of the season.
The Huskies tied the game 1:27 into the second off the stick of Vinny Borgesi.
Gunnar VanDamme made a great individual effort to score his second goal of the season at 16:21 of the second period, but Northeastern tied the game at 2-2 with the lone power-play goal of the game by Joe Connor at 19:01.
VanDamme was named to the Ledyard Classic All-Tournament after finishing with two points (one goal, one assist) in the two games for the Seawolves.
Alex Gomez recorded his second assist of the game on a goal by Tanner Edwards in front of the net at 15:03 of the third period.
Dylan Hryckowian scored for the Huskies with 70 seconds remaining in the third period to send the game to overtime.
Cam Lund scored the game-winning goal for Northeastern at 2:55 of overtime.
UAA was outshot 30-24, and Tyler Krivtsov finished with 26 saves for UAA.
Alaska Anchorage will play at Western Michigan Jan. 3-4.
