ANCHORAGE, ALASKA – Adam Tisdale scored the game-winning goal with 32 seconds remaining to lift Alaska Anchorage to a 4-3 win over No. 19/20 Arizona State Friday.

Matt Johnson scored his fifth goal of the season, and his eighth point in his last seven games, to open the scoring for the Seawolves 2:26 into the game.

The Seawolve's lead lasted less then three minutes as Lukas Sillinger scored his eighth-goal of the season at 4:47.

Matthew Kopperud scored his 22nd goal of the season on the powerplay to give ASU its first lead of the game at 15:10 of the first period.

Riley Thompson scored a goal in the first and the final minute of the second period to give UAA a 3-2 lead at the second intermission.

Ty Murchison tied the game with an unassisted goal for Arizona State at 6:17 of the third period, before Tisdale scored the game winner.

Alex Gomez recorded an assist on the Seawolve's third goal and sent a centering pass to Tisdale for his game-winning goal to finish with two points.

"The team played for each other and got the result from working hard," said head coach Matt Shasby. "Happy for Tisdale to come through with the winner. Whale played another excellent game."

Jared Whale finished with 16 saves as the Seawolves out-shot the Sun Devils 43-19.

UAA finished 0-for-5 on the powerplay and held ASU to 1-for-5.

Alaska Anchorage will look to complete the weekend sweep of Arizona State at the Avis Alaska Sports Complex Saturday by winning its fifth-straight game at home in the final game of the 2023-24 season.
