EMPORIA, KANSAS – University of Alaska Anchorage freshman finished 12th in the prelims of the 400 at the NCAA Div. II Outdoor Track and Field National Championships Thursday.

His time of 46.89 was just off his personal-best time of 46.73. Caleb needed to finish eighth or higher to qualify for Saturday's 400 final.

Coleman Nash will compete in the 5,000 Saturday.
