FAIRBANKS, ALASKA – The University of Alaska Fairbanks scored three unanswered goals to win game four of the Alaska Airlines Governor's Cup Friday. The season series is tied 2-2.
Ryan Johnson opened the scoring with his team-leading 11th goal of the season on the powerplay at 13:16 of the first period. Dimitry Kebreau and Conor Cole assisted on the goal.
William Lawson-Body tied the game during a scrum in front of the net three minutes later.
The Nanooks took their first lead of the game 32 seconds later when Nathan Rickey fired a slap shot past Tyler Krivtsov.
Matt Hubbarde scored the final goal of the game for the Nanooks 4-on-4 at 1:27 of the third period.
UAF led in shots 30-28, with Krivtsov finishing with 27 saves for the Seawolves.
UAA finished 1-for-3 on the man-advantage and did not give UAF a power-play opportunity.
Alaska Anchorage and Alaska Fairbanks will face off in game five Saturday in Fairbanks.
