BOSTON, MASS. – John Peckham and Ty Elliott of the University of Alaska Anchorage opened their indoor track and field seasons just two weeks after earning All-American honors in cross country.
The duo competed in the highly competitive 5,000 at the BU Sharon Colyear-Danville Season Opener Saturday.
John Peckham recorded a time of 14:08.05, the fourth-fastest time in school history and the 20th fastest time in Div. II this season.
Ty Elliott ran 14:18.21, the seventh-fastest time ever at UAA and the 31st fastest time in Div. II this season.
Alaska Anchorage will compete at the Silver & Blue Invitational hosted by Nevada Reno Jan. 9-10.
