EAST MEADOW, N.Y. – Dylan Contreras scored his eighth goal of the season and Ryan Johnson added two assists for Alaska Anchorage in a 4-2 loss at Long Island Saturday.
After a scoreless first period, Carter Rapalje scored a powerplay goal at 11:12 of the second period to give the Sharks a 1-0 lead.
The Seawolves responded with goals by Dylan Contreras at 3:56 and Jarred White at 7:17 of the third period to take a 2-1 lead.
Daniel Baldassarra scored 90 seconds later for LIU to tie the game at 2-2.
Trent Powell scored the second power-play goal of the game for the Sharks at 13:59, and John Gormley scored an empty-net goal at 18:54.
LIU finished 2-for-8 on the man-advantage, and UAA finished 0-for-3.
The Seawolves were out-shot 31-20.
Tyler Krivtsov made 27 saves and allowed three goals.
Alaska Anchorage will host Lindenwood in the final series of the season Feb. 21-22.
