Alaska Anchorage will open the regular season by hosting Bemidji State in a two-game series at the Avis Alaska Sports Complex Oct. 3-4.

Head coach
Matt Shasby enters his fourth season leading the Seawolves. The Anchorage, native has a 29-59-8 mark as the UAA bench boss.
Chris Kamal and
Aaron McPheters return as assistant coaches for the Seawolves, while Anchorage native
Evan Trupp has joined the staff as an assistant coach.
Point Streak
Sophomore
Ryan Johnson led the Seawolves in both goals (11) and points (25) last season. The Calgary, Alberta, native enters the season on a 10-game point streak that started on Jan. 11th against Niagara. He has scored two goals and 10 assists during the streak.
Multi-Points
Freshman
Judah Makway led 10 Seawolves with multiple points in last week's exhibition game win. The Trail, B.C., native scored one goal and four assists against the Clippers. Sophomore
Ryan Johnson tallied four points (one goal, three assists), and
Oren Shtrom added three points (one goal, two assists).
Goalies
The Seawolves rotated all three goalies in last week's win over Briercrest.
Greg Orosz started and three saves in the first period.
Tyler Krivtsov made four saves in the second period, and
Bryant Marks made five saves in the third period.
New Guys
Alaska Anchorage welcomes 12 new players to this year's team. The Seawolves added six transfers and six freshmen.
Road Warriors
The Seawolves will play games in eight different states, Alaska, Arizona, Colorado, Massachusetts, Minnesota, Missouri, Rhode Island and Wisconsin, this season.
Last Time Out
Alaska Anchorage defeated Briercrest 15-0 in an exhibition last week. The Seawolves had 17 different players record a point in the game.

Alaska Anchorage will take two weeks off before playing a two-game series at St. Cloud State Oct. 24-25.
