MADISON, WIS. – Joey Potter and Oren Shtrom each scored for Alaska Anchorage in a 3-2 loss at No. 3 Wisconsin Saturday.

The Badgers opened the scoring when Quinn Finley scored off a one-timer at 15:01 of the first period.

The Wisconsin lead grew to 2-0 after a wrap-around goal by Finn Brink at 16:10.

Quinn Finley scored his second goal of the game short-handed at 9:57 of the second period, before Joey Potter put the Seawolves on the board at 14:06 with a wrist shot through traffic on the powerplay. Oren Shtrom and Karter McNarland assisted on the goal.

Shtrom scored the second goal for the Seawolves for his second point of the game at 3:27 of the third period. Pavol Funtek collected an assist for the Seawolves.

UW out-shot UAA 29-21.

UAA finished 1-for-3 on the powerplay, and UW was 1-for-2.

Tyler Krivtsov made 26 saves in his second straight start for the Seawolves.

UAA will battle UAF in Fairbanks in the first of two games of the Alaska Airlines Governor's Cup Jan. 16-17.
