RENO, NEV. – The Alaska Anchorage track and field team posted seven top-10 marks in school history at the Silver & Blue Invite hosted by Nevada Reno.
Tyler Drake finished second in the 60 hurdles and third in the long jump. His time of 8.36 in the hurdles ranks fourth all-time at UAA and his jump of 22-3/5.29 ranks seventh.
Seth Cupper finished fourth in the long jump with a mark of 21-7.5/6.59, the 10th-best mark in school history. He was 10th in the 60 (7.10).
Tobin Schmidtke was fifth in the long jump with a mark of 21-6.75/6.57.
Sarah Dittman posted a pair of fifth-place finishes in the jumps. She leaped out to 17-4.25/5.29 in the long jump, seventh all-time at UAA, and cleared 4-11.75/1.52 in the high jump, tied for seventh-best in school history.
The women's 4x400 relay team of Liv Heite, Gracie Miotke, Avrey Campbell and Jessica Chisar finished second in 3:57.48.
Jessica Chisar ran 59.27 to finish second in the 400, and Liv Heite finished third in the 60 hurdles (8.89) and sixth in the 200 (26.02).
Mya Campbell placed sixth in both the long jump (17-2/5.23) and the high jump (4-9.75/1.47).
Ethan Stiller, AJ Szewczyk, Seth Cupper and Tobin Schmidtke finished third in the 4x400 in 3:23.42.
In the 60 hurdles, AJ Szewczyk was sixth (8.81) and Tobin Schmidtke was seventh (8.92).
UAA will compete at the UW Preview Jan. 16-17.
