Hockey heads to No. 3 Wisconsin

Alaska Anchorage will travel to America's Dairyland for a two-game series at No. 3 Wisconsin this Friday and Saturday.  

Series
Alaska Anchorage is 17-56-10 all-time against Wisconsin, and 9-35-4 against the Badgers in Madison. UAA is 3-3-1 in its last seven games against UW. 

Ranked Opponents
No. 3 Wisconsin is the second ranked opponent Alaska Anchorage this season. UAA split its series at DU who was ranked No. 6 earlier this season. 

Coach Shasby
Head coach Matt Shasby enters his fourth season leading the Seawolves. The Anchorage, native has a 32-70-8 mark as the UAA bench boss. 
Chris Kamal and Aaron McPheters return as assistant coaches for the Seawolves, while Anchorage native Evan Trupp has joined the staff as an assistant coach.  

Points Leader
Junior Karter McNarland, who leads the team with nine points, scored his first goal of the season last weekend against Arizona State. The Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, native scored the first goal of the game on the power play against the Sun Devils. 

Immediate Impact
Freshman Aaron Reierson tallied a point in his first career game for Alaska Anchorage. The native of Moorhead, Minn., recorded an assist on freshman Tye Spencer's goal at 15:41 of the third in the loss at Arizona State. 

Point Streak
Joey Potter and Conor Cole each tallied an assist in the loss to Arizona to extend their point streaks to three games before they were shutout against Michigan Tech. 
Potter has eight points (three goals, five assists) this season, including one goal and four assists in his last five games. 
Cole has seven points (three goals, four assists) this season. 

Penalty Kill
UAA is 3-5-0 this season when it does not allow a power-goal and 0-7-0 when it gives up a power-play goal. 

Road Success
All three of the Seawolve's wins this season have come on the road. 

Last Time Out
Alaska Anchorage dropped both of its games at the Desert Hockey Classic, losing 7-2 to Arizona State and 5-0 to Michigan Tech.         

Looking Ahead
Alaska Anchorage will play its third straight road series at Alaska Fairbanks in the first games of the Alaska Airlines Governor's Cup Jan. 16-17.
