LAKE PLACID, NY – The University of Alaska Anchorage enjoyed four top-10 finishes in the 20-kilometer freestyle races at the RMISA Nordic Qualifier Thursday.
Corbin Carpenter skated to the top finish of the day crossing the line in sixth in 50:05. Erling Bjornstad was eighth in 50:21.
Marlie Molinaro led the UAA women finishing eighth in 1:02:17. Marit Flora was 10th (1:02:42), and Constance Lapointe was 17th (1:06:26).
Other finishes for the men included Garrett Siever 12th (52:22), Henry Skjoensfjell 15th (53:08), Matt Seline 16th (53:37) and Hermod Bangstad 24th (57:20).
Tilde Baangman of Colorado won the women's race (56:16), and Mons Malbye of Utah (47:38) won the men's race.
The Seawolves will compete in the classic sprints at the RMISA Invite Friday.
