ST. CHARLES, MO. – Tye Spencer tallied two points (one goal, one assist) for Alaska Anchorage in a 4-2 loss at Lindenwood Saturday.
Jacob Fletcher opened the scoring for the Lions with a short-handed goal at 5:14 of the first.
Tye Spencer scored off a rebound from a shot by Aaron Reierson at 16:18. JP Steele earned an assist on the play.
Lindenwood would took a 3-1 lead in the second period after goals by Drew Kuzma at 2:28 and Olivier Houde at 11:38.
The Seawolves capitalized on the extra attacker with Jacob Terpstra scoring during a flurry in front of the net at 18:08 of the third. Tye Spencer and Ryan Johnson assisted on the goal.
Charles Savoie concluded the scoring with an empty-net goal at 19:04.
UAA was out-shot 35-32, and the two teams finished a combined 0-for-7 on the powerplay.
Tyler Krivtsov finished with 31 saves.
Alaska Anchorage will host Alaska Fairbanks for games five and six of the Alaska Airlines Governor's Cup Feb. 20-21.
