Lessig leads Seawolves on All-MPSF squad

Four Alaska Anchorage gymnasts were recognized with all-conference awards Thursday as the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation announced its 2026 season honors.

Entering Saturday's MPSF Championship meet, junior Claudia Lessig has produced team-best National Qualifying Scores of 37.865 in the all-around and 9.775 on balance beam, earning first- and second-team awards on those events. The Spring, Texas, native recently made program history by becoming just the third Seawolf to record at least four 9.85-plus beam scores in her career.

Senior Ariana DeSouza earned second-team honors on floor exercise with a 9.690 NQS, while junior Jada Niles also made the second team with a 9.645 NQS on uneven bars. Junior Jamilia Duffus, who was honored last season on uneven bars, made the MPSF second team again with a 9.660 on vault.

The Seawolves are in Cedar City, Utah, for the 2026 MPSF Championship on Saturday (4 pm ADT). Find links to live video (pay-per-view) and scoring at GoSeawolves.com.
