Seawolves conclude with honors at WCGNIC

WEST CHESTER, Pa. (Mar. 29) – Junior Jamilia Duffus and sophomore Maribelle Albert tied for sixth place on vault to highlight the final 2026 competition for the Alaska Anchorage gymnastics team Sunday in the Women's Collegiate Gymnastics National Invitational Championship at Hollinger Field House.

Duffus and Albert each scored 9.6625 on vault as the pair earned first-team WCGNIC All-American awards, and UAA posted a trio of the same honors on uneven bars as well. Junior Claudia Lessig tied for seventh in a finals field of 14 with a 9.7125 on bars, while Duffus earned 9.6357 and junior Jada Niles 9.5625.

Sophomore Jordan Grindol was named a WCGNIC first-team honoree on balance beam, and Lessig nabbed a second-team award.
