Hockey ready for United Collegiate Hockey Cup

Alaska Anchorage will face Stonehill in the first round of the United Collegiate Hockey Cup this week. This will be the first post-season tournament that Alaska Anchorage has participated in since 2020 when it faced Minnesota State in the first round of the WCHA Tournament. 

Series
Alaska Anchorage leads the all-time series with Stonehill 4-2-0, and is 1-2-0 against the Skyhawks this season. Alaska Anchorage won the first four meetings, but Stonehill has won the last two. 

Coach Shasby
Head coach Matt Shasby enters his fourth season leading the Seawolves. The Anchorage, native has a 34-82-9 mark as the UAA bench boss. 
Chris Kamal and Aaron McPheters return as assistant coaches for the Seawolves, while Anchorage native Evan Trupp has joined the staff as an assistant coach.

Sophomore Ryan Johnson scored his fourth goal of the season, and his second on the powerplay, at Alaska Fairbanks last week. The Calgary, Alberta, native ranks second on the team in points (15) and assists (11). 

Points Leader
Junior Karter McNarland recorded his team-leading 16th assist of the season last week at Alaska Fairbanks. The Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, native leads the Seawolves with 20 points this season (4 goals, 16 assists). He has tallied a point in 12 of 14 weekend series this season. 

Special Team Threat
Junior Aiden Westin ranks second on the team in goals with six, with all six coming on the powerplay. The Anchorage, native is one of seven Seawolves to appear in all 31 games this season. He has seven points (one goal, six assists) this season. 

Goalie
Sophomore Tyler Krivtsov has handled the bulk of the goaltending duties for the Seawolves this season starting 24 of the team's 31 games. The Santa Clarita, Calif., native has a 3.54 goals against average and a .900 save percentage.
