The University of Alaska Anchorage had 12 student-athletes named to the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District team for cross country/track &field.
All-Americans John Peckham (3.85, management), Anders Larsen (3.72, mechanical emgineering), Ty Elliott (3.6, psychology), Jessica Chisar (3.91, kinesiology), Vivien Liessfeld (3.64, psychology) and Liv Heite (3.9, kinesiology) were each honored.
Other selections for the Seawolves included Tobin Schmidtke, Brian Morris (3.64, management), Stephen Zukowski (3.62, management and marketing), Blanca De Arvizu Sarrias (3.93, civil engineering), Ryann Smith (3.83, kinesiology) and Lilli Lindner (4.0, mechanical engineering).
To be eligible, student-athletes must be a sophomore academically and athletically, have a 3.50 cumulative grade point average and meet athletic requirements by sport. Schools are limited on the number of nominations they may submit.
