WINONA, Minn. (Aug. 26) - Vanessa Tsukano and Michelle Garvin registered 13 kills apiece, but it wasn't enough to avert the University of Alaska Anchorage volleyball team's second loss of the day, 15-10, 15-17, 15-7, 15-7, against Lewis (Ill.) University.

The loss dropped the Seawolves to 2-2 for the tournament and the season. Lewis, which was led by Katie Gilman and Beth Steel's 17 kills apiece, improved to 2-1.

UAA got a match-high 18 digs from Tsukano and outdug the Flyers 91-55. Senior Heather Riter continued her excellent hitting, notching 10 kills with only two errors in 30 attempts (.267).

The loss ends UAA's four-match trip here at the Jefferson Classic. UAA now travels to California for a pair of non-conference matches against Cal Poly-Pomona (Aug. 29) and Cal State-San Bernardino (Aug. 30).
