Seawolves stung in Hornets Nest

SACRAMENTO, Calif. (Feb. 25) - Dominique Ingram's 9.9 floor routine was the lone highlight for the UAA gymnastics team Friday night at Sacramento State's Hornets Nest as the Seawolves placed third in a tri-meet.

UAA (7-4) scored a season-low 186.700 points as it had its school-record six-meet winning streak stopped by a pair of Mountain Pacific Sports Federation rivals. Host Sacramento State won with 192.125, while UC Davis put up 190.700.

Ingram, a 5-foot sophomore, equaled the fourth-best score in UAA history with her second-place floor routine, and placed in a three-way tie for top honors on vault with a 9.7.

Freshman Jessica Portlock tied for third on bars (9.625) and fifth on beam (9.55) as she posted the best of UAA's three all-around scores at 37.600.

The Seawolves will try to get back on track Sunday in Davis, Calif. (1 p.m. AST), when they face the Aggies again, plus league rival San Jose State.
