Ingram scores 9.65 at regionals

SEATTLE (Apr. 9) - UAA's Dominique Ingram scored a 9.65 on vault Saturday at the NCAA Division I West Regionals at Bank of America Arena.

The sophomore from nearby Kent, Wash., placed 30th of 42 competitors on vault as the Seawolves' lone representative. It was the lowest vault score of the season for Ingram, who owns the top nine marks on that apparatus all-time at UAA.

Top-ranked UCLA won the team competition, which is equivalent to the first round of the NCAA Tournament. Ingram was just the eighth Seawolf ever to qualify for the meet.

Next up for Ingram and the Seawolves are the USA Gymnastics Collegiate Championships in Ithaca, N.Y., April 14-16. The trip will mark UAA's first team appearance at USAGs in the 21-year history of the Seawolf program.
