GRAND FORKS, N.D. - North Dakota received goals from four different players and goalie Philippe Lamoureux stopped all 29 shots he faced as the No. 20 Fighting Sioux downed Alaska Anchorage 4-0 here tonight at the Ralph Engelstad Arena.
The Seawolves (10-11-3, 6-11-1 WCHA) went scoreless on the power play for the fourth consecutive game as the Sioux (11-11-2, 7-9-2 WCHA) killed off all seven UAA man-advantage opportunities.
Junior netminder Nathan Lawson recorded 22 saves in the loss, UAA's sixth in its last seven conference games.
North Dakota owned a 2-0 lead at the end of the first period of play on goals by T.J. Oshie at 5:39 (power play) and Chris Porter at 10:42. Robbie Bina (00:28) and Ryan Duncan (7:52, power play) tacked on a pair of goals in the second to complete the scoring for the Sioux.
Junior defenseman Luke Beaverson led UAA's offensive efforts with a team-high five shot attempts.
The Seawolves outshot the Sioux 29-26, including 13-5 in the third, but were unable to get the puck past Lamoureax who earned his second career shut out win over UAA.
UND went 2-for-5 on the power play.
UAA, who now stands tied for seventh in the WCHA standings, returns home for the first time in 2007 next weekend for a two-game league series against eighth-place Michigan Tech.
