No. 4 Seawolves score record road rout

HONOLULU ? Junior forward Ruby Williams scored a career-high 30 points and senior Maria Nilsson tossed in 14 as the 4th-ranked Alaska Anchorage women's basketball team used a huge second half to down host Chaminade 105-46 at McCabe Gymnasium on Monday.

The Seawolves (10-0) also got 10 points apiece from Rebecca Kielpinski and Dasha Basova as they reached the century mark for the first time since the opening game of the 2006-07 campaign.

Chaminade (0-6) was led by 17 points from guard Marian Murphy.

UAA shot 48.7 percent and outrebounded the Silverswords 54-22 in the teams' third meeting since Nov. 30. The point total was the 10th-highest in school history and the most ever for a Seawolf team in a road game.

Williams, a transfer from Central Arizona College, shot 11 of 19 from the field and 8 of 9 from the free throw line to go with seven rebounds. Guard Kalhie Quinones also grabbed seven boards, along with four assists and five steals.

The Seawolves next fly to the ?Big Island' to take on Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference favorite Nebraska-Kearney on Wednesday in Hilo (6 p.m. AST).
