ANCHORAGE ? The Harding volleyball team won its first match of the 2008 season Saturday as the Lady Bisons prevailed 25-17, 25-10, 25-13 over Ohio Valley in the final round-robin match of the Extended Stay Deluxe Invitational at the Wells Fargo Sports Complex.

Harding (1-2) was led by 13 kills from junior outside hitting star Manuela Nesheva ? who played only in the first two sets ? and senior middle blocker Shellie Rummer's 10 kills. Setter Leah Tepe had 21 assists and 13 digs in just two sets for the Searcy, Ark., school as well.

OVU (0-3), from Vienna, W.Va., got six kills and 11 digs in the loss.

The teams will meet again at 5 p.m. in the tournament's third-place match.
