Seawolves headed to Copper Country

Alaska Anchorage will make its final road trip of the regular season when it plays at Michigan Tech this week.   
Series
The all-time series between Michigan Tech and Alaska Anchorage is pretty even with the Huskies holding a slim 34-32-17 lead in the all-time series. MTU leads 19-13-6 in game played in Houghton. Alaska Anchorage is undefeated (2-0-2) in their last four games at Michigan Tech. The Huskies won the first game and the Seawolves earned the shoot-out win when the two teams battled earlier this season. 
Penalty Killing
Alaska Anchorage has killed off its last 22 penalties, a span of 330:22 minutes. The last team to score a power-play goal against Alaska Anchorage? Michigan Tech on Jan. 25. 
Season Low
Alaska Anchorage allowed a season-low 18 shots in last week's 2-1 loss to Ferris State.

Sophomore goalie Kris Carlson recorded his first career tie after making 25 saves in a 1-1 draw with Ferris State at home last week. Carlson has a .893 save percentage and a 3.49 goals against average this season.

Senior Nicolas Erb-Ekholm scored his team-leading 19th career goal last week against Ferris State. He leads the team with 11 points this season and is tied for the team lead in goals (six) with fellow senior Nicolas Erb-Ekholm
Mr. Extra Point
Alaska Anchorage has played four overtime games this season, winning once in overtime, winning in the 3-on-3 period, winning a shootout and losing in 3-on-3. Jonah Renouf has clinched the extra point for the Seawolves twice. He scored the winning goal in the shootout win over Michigan Tech and scored in the 3-on-3 period against Ferris State. 
  
Last Time Out
Last week Ferris State defeat Alaska Anchorage 2-1 at Sullivan Arena. The two teams skated to a 1-1 tie the following night with Jonah Renouf scoring in the 3-on-3 period to give the Seawolves the extra point.
Looking Ahead
Alaska Anchorage will close out the regular season against in-state rival Alaska Fairbanks in the annual Alaska Airlines Governor's Cup.
