ANCHORAGE – Freshman
Alyssa Manley scored well on three events, including a career-high 9.8 on floor exercise, to pace the Alaska Anchorage gymnastics team Friday in a 194.200-185.875 dual-meet loss to Air Force at the Alaska Airlines Center.
Manley placed third on floor and had UAA's top effort on uneven bars with a 9.5. The Albuquerque, N.M., native also had the Seawolves' third-best vault at 9.55, just behind 9.575s from senior
Kylie Reese and freshman
Brooklyn Kopsack.
Freshman
Shannon Farrell led UAA on balance beam with a 9.75, while junior
Rachel Decious earned a 9.6 on beam and a 9.5 on floor.
The visiting Falcons were paced by a 39.050 all-around from Genevieve Sabado.
UAA and Air Force will meet for the fifth time this season when they take on league rivals UC Davis, San Jose State and Sacramento State at the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation Championships in Davis, Calif., on Mar. 19.
