California, Utah prep stars sign with Seawolves

ANCHORAGE (Nov. 28) – The Alaska Anchorage volleyball team has started its 2024 recruiting class with a pair of top high school talents as head coach Stacie Meisner announced Tuesday that Dorsey Booth and Bailee Tucker have signed National Letters of Intent with the Seawolves.

A 5-4 defensive specialist/libero, Booth was a two-time All-Capital Athletic League First Team performer at El Camino Fundamental High School in Sacramento, Calif., where she also earned scholar-athlete awards as a sophomore and junior. The Rancho Cordova resident was also a standout with the OMNI Volleyball Club.

"Dorsey is an athletic back-row player who will add depth to our defense and serve receive," said Meisner, who recently completed her first season as head coach at her alma mater. "She comes from a high-level club, and we expect her to transition pretty seamlessly into our program and level of play."

A 5-11 rightside hitter, Tucker was a 5A Senior All-Star and two-time all-region selection at Northridge High School in Layton, Utah. The four-year varsity letterwinner ended her prep career earlier this month by leading Northridge to the 5A State quarterfinals, and she excelled on the club circuit with Club V.

"Bailee is a dynamic and spunky lefty right-side attacker who has some familiarity playing outside as well," Meisner said. "She has excellent club experience playing at a high level and is a true competitor. We look forward to what she will bring to our program in all aspects of the game."
