ANCHORAGE, ALASKA – Coleman Nash of the University of Alaska Anchorage earned Cross Country/Track and Field Academic All-America honors from the College Sports Communicators.
Nash graduated in the May with a 4.0 GPA in economics and real estate management. The Littleton, Colo., native became the first student-athlete to win the GNAC Scholar-Athlete of the Year three years in a row. He finished 16th in the 5,000 (15:12.94) at the NCAA Outdoor Track and Field National Championships and won the 5,000 (14:38.37) at the GNAC Outdoor Championships.
"Cole embodies the definition of a student-athlete," said head coach Ryan McWilliams. "This award honors the hard work that he puts in every day in both his academic and athletic endeavors. These traits will lead him to success in his future endeavors."
