ROMEOVILLE, ILL. – The University of Alaska Anchorage men's and women's cross country teams both finished ninth against a talented field at the Lewis Crossover Saturday.
Alexandria Otto led the UAA women with a 19th-place finish in the six-kilometer race in 21:59.
Ryann Smith finished 31st (22:12), followed by Gracie Pruit in 81st (22:53) and Makendra McCarty in 93rd (22:58). Avery Williamson completed the scoring crossing the line in 23:12.
John Peckham was the first Seawolf across the line in the men's eight-kilometer race in 24:31.
Ty Eliott finished 37th (24:42), Ben Browning 58th (24:56) and Matt Rongitsch 82nd (25:13). Sam Roy finished 121st (25:37).
Ramon Rodriguez of Tiffin won the men's race in 23:44. Hannah Hartwell of Fort Lewis won the women's race in 20:45.
UAA will compete at the GNAC Championships hosted by MSU Billings on Oct. 25.
