ANCHORAGE, ALASKA – Joey Potter and Ryan Johnson each tallied two points for Alaska Anchorage in a 3-2 loss at home to Stonehill Friday night.
The Skyhawks took an early lead when Matthew Romer scored an unassisted goal off a turnover in the Seawolves' defensive end at 6:27 of the first period.
The lead would only last 27 seconds before Joey Potter scored thanks to assists from Logan Acheson and Ryan Johnson.
Conor Cole handed the Seawolves their first lead of the game with a power-play goal at 8:20 of the second period. Acheson and Potter assisted on the goal for their second points of the night.
The Skyhawks tied the game at 2-2 with a goal by Cole Melady at 12:15 of the second period, before Anthony Galante scored the game-winner at 2:34 of the third period.
The Seawolves finished a perfect one-for-one on the powerplay and held the Skyhawks scoreless on all four of their opportunities.
Tyler Krivtsov finished with 45 saves for UAA.
Alaska Anchorage and Stonehill will close out the weekend series Saturday at 5 pm.
