SAN FRANCISCO – The University of Alaska Anchorage won six events at the Johnny Mathis Invitational hosted by San Francisco State Saturday.

"Very happy with the meet results today across the board," said head coach Ryan McWilliams. "The Seawolves were out there representing UAA and Alaska well. Really great weekend to get us truly started on our outdoor season."

Jessica Chisar won the 800 in 2:08.40, the second-fastest time in school history.

Vivien Liessfeld won the long jump (5.40/17-8.5) and the javelin (36.11/118-6). She finished sixth in the 100 hurdles (15.40) and eighth in the 200 (26.14).

Mya Campbell won the triple jump with a mark of 10.39/34-1, the sixth-farthest mark in school history. She finished second in the long jump (5.39/17-8.25).

Liv Heite won the 100 hurdles (14.31), and Ryann Smith won the 1,500 (4:33.61). Smith ran 2:13.56 to finish third in the 800.

Charlie Hulbert and Ethan Ackroyd finished second (3:48.20) and third (3:49.07) in the 1,500. Hulbert's time ranks fourth and Ackroyd's ranks sixth in school history.

Tyler Drake finished second in the long jump (6.68/21-11), third in the triple jump (12.95/42-5.75) and third in the 110 hurdles (15.21). His hurdle time ranks sixth and his triple jump mark ranks seventh in school history.

Sarah Dittman finished fourth in the javelin (31.08/102-0) with the ninth-best throw in school history. She finished fifth in the long jump (5.10/16-8.75).

The women's 4x100 relay team of Vivien Liessfeld, Liv Heite, Avrey Campbell and Blanca De Arvizu Sarrias finished second in 48.25, the seventh-fastest time in school history.

Blanca De Arvizu Sarrias finished second in the 100 hurdles (14.61) and fourth in the 400 (1:00.35).

Eric Bushnell finished second in the discus (43.88/144-0) and sixth in the shot put (12.02/39-5.25).

Avrey Campbell finished second in the 400 hurdles (1:05.01) and sixth in the 100 (12.81).

Tobin Schmidtke finished third in the long jump (6.62/21-8.75), fourth in the javelin (50.24/164-10) and seventh in the 110 hurdles (15.99).

In the 100, Jason Lorig was third (10.88), Brian Morris seventh (11.14) and Seth Cupper was eighth (11.14).

Lilli Lindner was fourth in the 1,500 (4:37.02) and seventh in the 800 (2:17.24).

In the men's 1,500, John Peckham was fourth (3:54.77), Ty Elliott fifth (3:55.82) and Tony Ruiz sixth (3:55.86).

Hunter Taddy finished fifth in the 800 (1:57.84), and Delaney Draeger was fifth in the steeplechase (11:41.91).

Gracie Miotke was fourth in the 400 hurdles (1:07.65), and Seth Cupper was sixth in the long jump (6.08/19-11.25).

Ethan Stiller was sixth in the 200 (22.38) and seventh in the 400 (50.50).

Brian Morris was eighth in the 200 (22.66).

Daisy Macias was fourth in the high jump (1.45/4-9), seventh in the javelin (24.16/79-3) and seventh in the 400 hurdles (1:11.86).

Both the UAA men and women finished second in the team standings.

UAA will compete at the Pacific Open March 28th.
