ANCHORAGE (March 23) - Dean Talafous has been reassigned and will no longer be coaching hockey at the University of Alaska Anchorage. The announcement was made today by UAA Athletic Director Dr. Steve Cobb.

Cobb said, "The University of Alaska Anchorage appreciates the significant contributions Dean Talafous has made to hockey at UAA over the last five years." Cobb noted the academic performance and character of the UAA hockey squad.

"It is our intention to move forward to select a replacement to ensure the continuity of the program. With that in mind, the search for a new head coach will begin immediately and continue until a new coach is chosen," said Cobb.
