RED RIVER, N.M. – The Alaska Anchorage Seawolves used 10 top-15 finishes on Day 2 of the New Mexico Invitational to register a season-high third-place result on Saturday afternoon. The Seawolves were paced by sophomore Kayla Hoog-Fry, who nabbed her second podium finish of the meet.

Following the completion of all eight events, the Seawolves claimed 735 points for their first top-3 finish of 2010. Host New Mexico won the team title with 881 points, while Utah was second with 831 points. Wrapping up the top five was Colorado (722) and Montana State (707) in fourth and fifth, respectively.

Taking eighth through 11th in the 10K freestyle race was the UAA women's team with 94 points. The Seawolves were paced by junior All-American Jaime Bronga (31:09.8) in eighth, followed by juniors Laura Rombach (9th, 31:13.9) and Steffi Hiemer (10th, 31:27.8), and senior Kelsey Coolidge (11th, 31:27.8).
