GEORGETOWN, COLO. – Ella Bromee paced the University of Alaska Anchorage ski team with a fifth-place finish in the slalom, the final race of the DU Invite.
Bromee finished in a time of 1:33.75 as the Seawolves finished fifth out of 10 teams.
Four other women joined Bromee in the top-20, Ainsley Proffit 13th (1:35.18), Ashleigh Alexander 15th (1:35.37), Alyssa Hill 18th (1:35.77) and Carmen Nielssen 20th (1:36.14).
Caeden Carruthers was the top UAA finisher in the men's race placing 30th (1:42.17).
Will Cashmore placed 35th (1:46.52), and Jan Ronner was 38th (1:51.00).
Madison Hoffman of Utah won the women's race (1:32.14), and Wilhelm Normannseth of Utah won the men's (1:35.61).
UAA will host the UAA Invite Feb. 20-23 and the NCAA West Regional Championships Feb. 22-25. The full schedule of races is available at GoSeawolves.com.
