INDIANOLA, Iowa – Sophomores
Alyssa Manley and
Silje Hildebrand posted individual wins Friday to lead the Alaska Anchorage gymnastics team to its second straight dual-meet victory, defeating Simpson 185.900-181.425 at Cowles Fieldhouse.
The Seawolves (2-6) performed best in the first rotation, scoring 47.425 as they took the top five spots on uneven bars. Manley led the way with a 9.65 and was joined on the podium by
Hayley Perkins (9.5),
Rachel Decious (9.475) and
Emily Walker (9.475).
Hildebrand earned her first career victory with a 9.55 vault, while freshman
Madelyn Gomez sprung a 9.325 to finish third.
Sophomore
Shannon Farrell and senior
Mackenzie Robinson finished 2-3 on balance beam with 9.45 and 9.4, respectively, while Decious and freshman
Ariana DeSouza did the same on floor, scoring 9.55 and 9.5.
The Seawolves complete their Iowa trip Sunday with an 11 a.m. AST start against Iowa State in Ames. That meet will be streamed live on ESPN-Plus, with live scoring link available at GoSeawolves.com.
