COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (Mar. 18) – Seniors Rachel Decious and Mackenzie Robinson each earned solid scores in their final collegiate performances Saturday as the Alaska Anchorage gymnastics team totaled 190.075 at the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation Championships at McClure Arena.

The Seawolves finished fifth in the team standings behind UC Davis (196.200), San Jose State (195.600), host Air Force (195.475) and Sacramento State (194.550).

A second-team all-conference performer on both balance beam and floor exercise, Decious tied for sixth among 30 competitors on beam with a 9.825, just shy of her own UAA season high. The Mesa, Ariz., native also earned a 9.75 on floor as the Seawolves recorded their second-best total of the season on that apparatus at 48.475.

Freshman Ariana DeSouza scored a team-best 9.8 on floor, along with a 9.775 from Robinson and another 9.75 from sophomore Alyssa Manley.

"The team really brought it back on the last three events after a tough start (on uneven bars), and that wasn't an easy feat at the biggest competition of the year," said UAA head coach Marie-Sophie Boggasch. "It was a special day for our seniors, who truly led the team with their performances today."

Sophomore Montana Fairbairn completed Decious on beam with a 9.75, along with a 9.7 from sophomore Shannon Farrell and a 9.675 from Robinson, while Manley led the way on bars with a 9.675.

Fairbairn produced the Seawolves' best vault with a 9.6, while freshman Madelyn Gomez flipped to a 9.55.
