SEATTLE – The University of Alaska Anchorage track and field team opened their indoor season at the UW Preview Saturday in Seattle.

Kevin Angarita placed seventh in the 400 with a time of 48.67, the fifth-fastest time in school history. He ran 7.06 in the 60 to place 19^th. His time is tied for eighth-fastest in school history. Angarita anchored the 4x400 relay to a sixth-place finish in 3:29.59.

The women's 60 hurdles was a bright spot for the Seawolves with Liv Heite placing 12^th in 9.18, the eighth-fastest time at UAA. Mette Van der Meer ran 9.22 to finish 14^th, and Blanca De Arvizu Sarrias was 15^th in 9.23, tied for ninth fastest in school history.

Nell Baker finished 26^th in the mile in 5:02.52, the ninth-fastest time at UAA.

Anders Larsen finished 11^th in the long jump with a leap of 21-3.25, the eighth-best mark at UAA.

The women's 4x400 relay ran 4:01.05, the 10^th-best time at UAA, to finish seventh.

In the men's 200, Brian Morris finished 10^th (22.59), and Riday Jana was 12^th (22.65).

Jess Chisar placed 13^th in the women's 400 in 1:00.56.

UAA will compete at the UW Invitational Jan. 25-27.
