Montana Fairbairn delivered a 38.300 all-around to highlight the evening for the Alaska Anchorage gymnastics team as the Seawolves posted a 190.225 total at the UC Davis tri-meet at University Credit Union Center on Friday night.
The Seawolves also got a 37.625 all-around effort from freshman
Claudia Lessig, finishing behind UC Davis (197.025) and Illinois State (195.4750) in the team standings.
UAA performed best on balance beam with a 48.225 total, led by a 9.75 from Fairbairn, a 9.725 from Lessig and a 9.65 from
Marcela Bonifasi. The Seawolves also got a 9.6 on beam from junior
Shannon Farrell, who returned from injury to make her season debut.
Fairbairn and freshman
Maddy Murphy led the way with 9.775s on vault to help UAA top the 48-point barrier for the fourth meet in a row, finishing with 48.050.
Senior
Emily Walker posted a team-high 9.75 on uneven bars, while Fairbairn flipped to a 9.75 and sophomore
Madelyn Gomez to a 9.65 on floor exercise.
