ELLENSBURG, WASH. – Kevin Angarita won the 400 to lead the University of Alaska Anchorage at the CWU Wildcat Invite Saturday.
Angarita won in a time of 47.86, 0.27 off his personal best and 0.35 shy of the school record.
Marc Mercier placed second in the long jump (22-9) and sixth in the 100 (11.01).
Three women finished in the top-10 of the 100 hurdles, Liv Heite fourth (14.48), Mette Van Der Meer fifth (14.91) and Lacie Simmons eighth (15.74).
Lacie Simmons finished sixth in the 400 hurdles (1:06.79), and Felix Robertson was seventh in the 110 hurdles (16.50).
Eric Bushnell threw the discus 138-0, the fourth-farthest throw in school history, to finish seventh.
Blanca De Arvizu Sarrias finished seventh in the 200 (25.44), and Liv Heite was 11th (25.89).
Brian Morris and Riday Jana finished eighth (11.35) and ninth (11.42) in the 100. The duo flipped positions in the 200 with Jana finishing eighth (22.65) and Morris placing ninth (22.68).
Ari Endestad ran 2:01.29 in his 800 debut to finish 13th.
Alaska Anchorage will compete at the Ralph Vernacchia Invite hosted by Western Washington April 27th.
