PORTLAND, Ore. (Oct. 16) – The Alaska Anchorage men's basketball team has been picked to finish sixth in the 2025-26 Great Northwest Athletic Conference preseason coaches' poll, released Thursday by the league office.
The Seawolves received 50 points in voting by the league's 10 head coaches, edging seventh-place Seattle Pacific (43). Central Washington was picked to win the league with 90 total points and six first-place votes, followed by Northwest Nazarene (85/2) and Montana State Billings (75/1). Western Washington picked up one first-place vote and tied with Saint Martin's for fourth with 67 points.
UAA returns seven letterwinners and one veteran redshirt from its 2024-25 squad that went 12-19 overall and 5-13 in the GNAC. The Seawolves will be led by returning starters
Bishop Tosi (6-6, Sr., F, 12.0 ppg, 5.9 rpg, 2.5 apg, .563 FG) and
Hasaan Herrington (6-3, Sr., G/F, 9.5 ppg, 4.6 rpg, 2.7 apg, 1.5 spg), while welcoming six transfers and two true freshmen to the lineup.
