ANCHORAGE (Nov. 12) – With the 2025-26 already under way, the Alaska Anchorage women's basketball program began building for the future Wednesday as head coach
Matt Thune announced that
Kinley Larsen has signed a scholarship agreement.
A 5-9 guard, Larsen was the High Country Conference and Idaho 6A District 4-5-6 Player of the Year and as a junior in 2024-25, helping Rigby High School to a district title and a berth in the state consolation game.
She was also named Second Team All-State by the
Idaho Statesman after averaging 15.4 points, 2.5 assists and 1.8 steals.
"Kinzley plays with grit and passion, and is exactly the type of player we want in our program," Thune said. "She has great size for a lead guard and knows the game. Her ability to play physical at the rim, hit shots beyond the arc and find her teammates for the best look will allow her to flow seamlessly into how we play. We're fired up to have her join our Seawolf family."
Larsen – who plays on the AAU circuit for META Hoops – is the first signee of the Seawolves' 2026-27 recruiting class.
