Claudia Lessig earned individual wins Friday to boost the Alaska Anchorage gymnastics team to a 192.250-190.575 victory over West Chester at Sturzebecher Gymnasium.
The Seawolves had their second-best uneven bars total of the season at 48.250 as Lessig led a podium sweep with a 9.725. Sophomore
Jamilia Duffus was second at 9.7 and freshman
Hannah Boyd earned a 9.675 as UAA captured its third dual victory of the season.
Albert earned her first career victory on vault, tying atop the podium with a 9.675, while senior
Montana Fairbairn was third with a 9.65. Wong scored 9.575 and senior
Grace Costello 9.55.
Lessig and Wong led the way as well on balance beam with 9.75s, giving Wong her best score as a collegiate gymnast. Fellow Hawaiian
Breeann Spain earned 9.675 and junior
Ariana DeSouza had a 9.65 as UAA totaled 48.325 on beam.
Fairbairn scored 9.775 to lead the way on floor exercise, complemented by 9.725s from DeSouza and Costello.
