PARKLAND, WASH. – Liv Heite tied the University of Alaska Anchorage school record in the 100 hurdles in the team's season-opener at the Pacific Lutheran Open Saturday.
Heite won the 100 hurdles in a time of 14.10, tying the school-record set by Elana Cano in 2022. Heite finished third in the 100 (12.42) and fourth in the 200 (25.41). Both times rank 10th in school history.
Peyton George ran 10.87, the eight-fastest time in school history, in the 100 to finish fourth. James Dixon was seventh in 10.98.
Marc Mercier finished in the long jump (6.96/22-10), and Morgan Grant was fourth (6.38/20-11.25).
Mya Campbell placed second in the high jump (1.47/4-9.75) and third in the long jump (5.14/16-10.5).
Lacie Simmons finished second in the 400 hurdles (1:07.26) and fourth in the 100 hurdles (14.95).
AJ Szewczyk placed third in the 400 hurdles (58.16) and fourth in the 110 hurdles (16.42).
Lucia Garcia was second in the 800 (2:20.84), and Riday Jana was sixth in the 400 (52.56).
The men's 4x400 relay finished second in 3:26.86.
Joshua Caleb and Jessica Chisar will compete at the NCAA Div. II Indoor Track and Field Championships in Indianapolis March 13-15. The Seawolves will continue the outdoor season at the Hornet Invite hosted by Sacramento State March 21-22.
