LONG BEACH, CALIF. – Joshua Caleb and Liv Heite each lowered their own school records at the University of Alaska Anchorage on the final day of the Beach Invitational Saturday.
Joshua Caleb set new meet, school and GNAC records in the 200 with a time of 20.50. The time ranks fourth in Div. II this season and tied for 16th all-time in Div. II. Caleb ran a meet-record time of 10.19 to win the 100.
Liv Heite lowered her own school record in the 100 hurdles after running 13.90. The time is tied for fourth-fastest all-time in the GNAC and ranks 18th in Div. II this season. She ran 1:02.34 in the 400 hurdles.
Mya Campbell cleared 1.58/5-2.25 in the high jump, tied for eighth all-time at UAA.
Mette Van der Meer ran 14.57 in the 100 hurdles, and Lacie Simmons finished in 14.79.
In the 400 hurdles, AJ Szewczyk ran 57.44 and Zuriel Guzman finished in 59.42.
Riday Jana ran 22.12 in the 200, and Peyton George finished in 22.27.
Marc Mercier long jumped 6.93/22-9, and Lucia Garcia ran 2:18.37 in the 800.
UAA will compete at the Ralph Vernacchia Invite April 25-26 in Bellingham, Wash.
