After concluding its 2025 season recently, the Alaska Anchorage gymnastics program received several individual honors, led by multiple awards for senior
Montana Fairbairn.
A senior from Strathmore, Alberta, Fairbairn was one of five Seawolves to earn 'All-America' recognition at the Women's Collegiate Gymnastics National Invitational Championships in Shreveport, La., as well as one of eight Seawolves to make the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation All-Academic Team.
The 3.96-GPA student was also the recipient of the Mari-Rae Sopper Spirit Award at the WCGNIC meet, presented to the participating gymnast who has displayed the most passion, dedication and devotion to her sport.
Along with Fairbairn's first-team award on vault, the Seawolves also got WCGNIC First Team All-America efforts from senior
Alyssa Manley on uneven bars, and sophomoresÂ
Jada Niles and
Claudia Lessig on balance beam. Senior
Ariana DeSouza was a Second Team WCGNIC All-American for her effort on floor exercise.
Fairbairn was joined on the MPSF All-Academic Team by DeSouza, junior
Madelyn Gomez, Lessig, Manley, Niles, junior
Breeann Spain and sophomore
Avery Tillmanns, while all 20 Seawolves were recognized at the WCGNIC meet with scholarship athlete awards.
