ANCHORAGE, ALASKA – University of Alaska Anchorage hockey coach Matt Shasby announced the addition of three players to the program.

Oren Shtrom

Gilbert, Ariz./Kamloops Blazers (WHL)
Oren Shtrom skated in 251 career games scoring 49 goals and 72 assists for 121 points during five seasons in the WHL. The Gilbert, Ariz., native tallied 35 points (16 goals, 19 assists) for the Prince George Cougars (WHL) in 2023-24. He scored 17 goals and 25 assists in 64 games for the Kamloops Blazers (WHL) in 2024-25.

Tye Spencer
Forward / 5-8 / 144
Saskatoon, Sask./Wenatchee Wild (WHL)
Tye Spencer scored 59 goals and 65 assists in 267 games over six seasons in the WHL. He recorded 47 points (23 goals, 24 assists) in 67 games for the Regina Pats (WHL) in 2023-24. Spencer scored 15 goals and 20 assists for 35 points in 64 games for the Regina Pats (WHL) and Wenatchee Wild (WHL) in 2024-25.

Ethan Neutans

Cochrane, Alb. / Medicine Hat Tigers (WHL)
Ethan Nuetans scored 17 goals and 23 assists for 40 points in 208 games in the WHL. He finished with 16 points (10 goals, 6 assists) in 61 games for the Kelowna Rockets (WHL) in 2023-24. Neutens scored six goals and eight assists in 70 games for the Kelowna Rockets (WHL) and Medicine Hat Tigers (WHL) in 2024-25.
