SAN FRANCISCO – The University of Alaska Anchorage men's 4x100 team ran a new school and conference record to highlight the final day of action at the Mike Fanelli Track Classic.
The team of Marc Mercier, Riday Jana, Peyton George and Joshua Caleb ran 40.79 for the win.
The Seawolves swept the men's 100 podium with Joshua Caleb taking the win in 10.35, Riday Jana second in 10.83 and Marc Mercier third in 10.83.
The women's hurdle crew continued to impress sweeping the 100 hurdle podium. Liv Heite won in a school record time of 14.06. The time ranks ninth all-time in the GNAC. Mette Van der Meer finished second (14.86), and Lacie Simmons was third (14.87).
Liv Heite won the 400 hurdles in 1:01.64, the third-fastest time ever at UAA.
Vivien Liessfeld won the women's long jump (5.44/17-10.25), and Marc Mercier was the runner-up in the men's long jump (7.00/22-11.75).
Mya Campbell cleared 1.57/5-1.75 in the high jump to move to 10th on the UAA top-10 list.
AJ Szewcyk ran 15.69 in the 110 hurdles and 56.96 in the 400 hurdles.
In the 400, Peyton George ran 49.98, Ethan Stiller 50.58 and Lucia Garcia 1:00.65.
Charlie Hulbert ran 1:54.42 in the 800, followed by Hunter Taddy (1:57.04) and Lance Seneff (1:58.20).
Ryann Smith ran 2:14.80 in the women's 800, followed by Alexandra Otto (2:16.79). Lucia Garcia (2:18.70) and Lilli Lindner (2:19.60).
Alaska Anchorage will compete at the John Knight Twilight hosted by Western Oregon April 11-12.
