Seawolves collect all-region honors

NEW ORLEANS – The University of Alaska Anchorage had six track and field student-athletes earn all-region honors from the United States Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association.

Marc Mercier, Riday Jana, Peyton George and Joshua Caleb earned all-region honors in the 4x100.

Joshua Caleb also earned all-region honors in both the 100 and 200. He will compete in both events at the NCAA Div. II Outdoor Track and Field Championships next week in Pueblo, Colo.

John Peckham earned all-region honors in the steeplechase, and Liv Heite earned all-region honors in the 100 hurdles.

The top-five individuals in each event from each region earned all-region honors, in addition to each of the members of a top-three ranked relay team.
