ANCHORAGE (May 2) – Alaska Anchorage men's basketball coach
Rusty Osborne has landed another local prep star as the first member of his 2025 recruiting class, announcing Friday that
Marek Hajdukovich has signed a scholarship agreement with the Seawolves.
The 6-2, 185-pound guard was a two-time First Team All-State and All-Cook Inlet Conference performer at Dimond High School, where he joined the school's 1,000-point club over four varsity seasons.
He averaged 16 points as a senior despite playing much of the season with a broken shooting hand, helping the Lynx to the CIC title and an ASAA 4A State Tournament berth. The second generation Seawolf and the fourth member of his family to wear Green & Gold, Hajdukovich also helped Dimond to top-4 state finishes as a freshman and sophomore.
"We are excited to welcome Marek to Seawolf Basketball," said Osborne, who enters his 21st season at the helm this fall. "Having watched him grow up in a family of Seawolves has been fun to witness. We really feel Marek is just scratching the surface of his potential. He's had numerous serious injury setbacks which have affected his opportunity to maximize his talents, and it's a testament to his ability that he was able to have an all-state career despite these challenges. Once his hand completely heals, I have no doubt he will have a tremendous career in Green & Gold. We are looking forward to the next 4-5 years."
Hajdukovich is the son of Seawolf Hall of Famer Jim Hajdukovich [1995-99] and former UAA women's player Michelle (Titus) Hajdukovich [1996-99], while his sister Jahnna was a four-year standout from 2018-23, finishing No. 6 on UAA's career three-pointers list with 173.
Hajdukovich also becomes the fifth Alaskan on the Seawolves' 2025-26 roster, joining senior
Hasaan Herrington (East Anchorage), sophomore
Parker Kroon (Wasilla), senior
Bishop Tosi (Anchorage/Bartlett) and former Dimond teammate sophomore
Luke Johnston.
