FAIRBANKS, ALASKA – The University of Alaska Anchorage cross country teams remained undefeated this season after sweeping the team titles at the Forest Frenzy in Fairbanks Saturday.
The Seawolves won the women's race 22-35 and the men's race 23-33.
Freshmen Gracie Puit and Alliyah Fields led the UAA women finishing second (23:30) and third (23:42).
Lilli Lindner was fourth (23:44), McKendra McCarty sixth (23:54), Gloria Kiprotich seventh (24:02) and Libby Schmidt ninth (24:49).
Lucca Duke was the top finisher for the Nanooks in 23:15.
Anthony Porter was the first Seawolf across the line in the men's race in 26:15. He was followed by Sam Roy in third (26:33), Matt Rongitsch fourth (26:35) and Edgar Vera fifth (26:57).
Stephen Zukowski and Tobias Buchanan finished ninth (27:57) and 10th (28:04).
Dexter Delaney was the top finisher for UAF in 25:48.
UAA will compete at the Mike Johnson Classic on Sept. 27th.
